Eagle Rock is minutes away from the Los Angeles River, which is a fascinating place to visit. The bike path runs along the river from just north of the Los Angeles Zoo down to Avenue 26. The river is always changing, sometimes with islands that are even populated with ducks, herons, and people. Come the winter rains, it looks more like a brown rushing river. When we rode down there today, I saw some very interesting "found art" constructions. Pretty fun.
