One of the many great things about Eagle Rock is that it is close to a lot of other places, like Glendale, Pasadena, Hollywood, Angeles National Forest and more.
Tonight, we are going to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery (www.hollywoodforever.com) to watch a screening of "Dressed To Kill." They project the film onto the side of a mausoleum wall to raise funds for the maintenance of this incredible memorial park. Check out www.cinespia.org and you will see what's coming up for the Saturday night offerings this summer. My advice is park outside of the cemetery, bring a blanket, pillows to lean on, a picnic in a disposable container, and enjoy! Some people bring in a table, crystal, the whole Hollywood Bowl scenario. Why complicate your life? A healthy but level hike in and out, a relaxing glass of wine, some olives, cheese, a sandwich, some fruit. Can life be any better on a hot summer night? Not much. And admission is just $10.
